Job Description:
For the Trim Development Engineers role, we require a highly skilled individual for seat development, with patterning, sewing and component trimming capabilities.
This role involves working with our technical specialist to deliver feasibility studies through physical seats.
Skills Required:
- Automotive patterning - seats.
- High level of machine sewing.
- Automotive seating production experience.
Experience Required:
- Experience of full trimming full seats from patterning to finishing and flitting.
- Experience of production and manufacture processes for seats.
- Engineering capability for seat functionality (airbags, climate).
- Previous experience of working with leather, PVCs and textiles.
- Previous experience of working with leather, PVCs and textiles.
- Experience of all sewing techniques.
- Ability to be able to read and interpret rendered designs, 3D CAD, drawings and colour call outs.
- Knowledge and experience of safe working practices adhering to H&S policies.
- Able to communicate effectively to other members of staff and senior management.
Experience Preferred:
- Microsoft Office 365 experience.
- Experience of production and manufacture processes for seats.
- Knowledge of mass production process and procedures, In-depth knowledge of textile.
