Job Description:
Duties:
- Component design and release role for suspension mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Responsible for working with multiple potential Suppliers to develop components from concept selection through to launch.
Duties will include:
- Collating and agreeing requirements with Internal Stakeholders and agreeing/negotiating these design requirements with potential suppliers.
- Co-ordinating internal/supplier development activities to finalise product specifications.
- Work with Procurement to manage supplier selection processes.
- Managing chosen suppliers towards delivering quality products on-time and to cost and attribute targets.
- Working within our client's PCDS process, deliver Gateway requirements for components owned.
Skills:
Essential:
- Experience of working with automotive suppliers for mechanical and/or hydraulic components.
- Experience of component development and design verification planning and management.
- Experience of our client's on-cycle product and programme delivery processes.
- Excellent communication skills and team player.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Hydraulics Principles and Underlying Physics.
- Experience in using Matlab for Data Analysis.
- Experience of using quality toolset e.g. DFMEA.
