Position Description:
Infotainment Systems Engineer
Management of agile software delivery into vehicle program, in line with cross-carline software release and signoff processes.
Technical project management within program timeline and gateway deliverables.
Triage and management of program-specific software issues in Jira, and tracking of downstream development activities to support program deliverables.
In-vehicle software verification and component signoff.
Analysis of test results considering specifications of interfacing functions.
Issue investigation, fault analysis, data gathering (e.g. CAN logs), documentation and resolution of all issues reported throughout development cycle.
Management of program-specific component configurations and diagnostic specifications.
Software deployment and reflash activities onto development vehicles, test benches and breadboards.
Technical design reviews and software evaluation workshops.
Project status management and report out to senior management.
Support project engineering activities including part releasing, BOM management, sourcing, supplier management and launch support.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills:
Technical project management.
Automotive product development, particularly software components, issue tracking and signoff processes.
CAN tools including CANalyser and/or CANoe.
Software development cycle and methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Ability to run autonomously with minimal supervisory intervention.
Actively drive issue resolution to conclusion
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills Preferred:
Vehicle electrical network systems.
Product Development processes including GPDS.
Experience Required:
Relevant experience demonstrating the required skills.
Education Required:
Relevant engineering/science degree.
Education Preferred:
Post-graduate certification.
Additional Information:
Please note: This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office on average, but we also need the engineer to be available in case required to come to the office more regularly or at short notice (i.e. will not consider candidates who are based at a non-commuting distance).
