Job Title: Design & Release Engineer (Electrical Domain) 
Location: Chertsey, Surrey / Travel to USA 
Rate: £30 - £40 ph Ltd Co Basis 
Employment Type: Contract

Exciting new opportunity to join an Automotive Technology company who are venturing into new projects and currently creating a portfolio of electric vehicles with the aspiration to deliver and re-design the current automobile of today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design and release components for Automotive Vehicles
  • Supplier Management
  • Functionality definition and refinement of the electrical systems in collaboration with vehicle network and attributes target.
  • Supplier management and co-ordination to achieve deliverables within agreed timeline.
  • Fault identification and resolution
  • BOM validation and release.
  • Supplier Co-ordination

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous Design and Release Engineering work experience within a OEM or Automotive Supplier
  • Ideally, degree qualified
  • Able to Manipulate CAD / Catia Data and Design
  • Experienced with DFMEA’s and DVP’s
  • Knowledgeable with Packaging of Harness or electrical components (Harness/Connectors/Fuse/Switches/ECU’s/Component Design)

Travel:

  • To support launch as required

Additional Information:

  • Flexibility considered in terms of working location, but you must be prepared and able to travel to US when required
