Purpose: ARRK Europe is recruiting additional CNC Machinist to join the team at the Nuneaton Technical Centre. You will join a rotating day shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure correct speeds, feeds and best practice is being adopted at all times. The program cycle time should be consistent with the time quoted for the job.
• Ensure all personal safety procedures are maintained, including correct clothing and safety glasses at all times
• Keep machine and surrounding area clean and free of obstacles
• Have good understanding and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on the machines being operated 
• Run machine as efficiently as possible, ensuring free running is optimised whenever possible.
• Liaise / document fully with colleagues who work on same machine but different shifts 
• Feed back any information which will improve processes for the future to managers and CAM programmers if appropriate. 
• Ensure they are at their machine ready at the start of the shift.
• Must be flexible and assist with any other reasonable task. 

Skills/Qualifications

• Ideally, will have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Must be fully conversant in the use of Edel 5 Axis machines fitted with Heidenhein controllers and using NC CAM software.
• Must be trained in the use of Work NC with the ability to program and modify cutter paths for their own machines in a timely manner
• Have a good understand of tooling technology
• Have a full understanding of component set-up using either by the use of holding/turn-over fixtures or plates.
• Be able to measure tooling accurately.
